|Tail:||Black Zonker Strip|
|Head:||Spun Black Deer Hair|
Notes on tying:
1. Attach 5" piece of copper wire at hook bend, Dub rear 2/3 of hook shank.
2. Secure zonker strip at hook bend with several wraps of copper wire. Pull zonker strip tight and wrap copper wire forward attaching zonker strip to body.
3. Even tips of first bunch of deer hair in hair stacker. Allow tips to form skirt back over body muddler-style. Spin several more bunches of deer hair to hook eye.
4. Trim head flat on bottom using a razor blade and then trim to a wedge shape on top and sides.
This pattern can be tied in black, green, yellow, pink and white. It hangs off the bottom like a Carolina-Rigged worm. Fish this fly with a short, quick stripping retrieve. Use a long leader and one BB split shot 12" from fly.
