Notes on tying:
1. Begin by tying in white calf tail for the wings (about 1/3
of the hook shank back from the eye of the hook, parachute style).
2. Tie in brown and grizzly hackle feathers for the tail ( hook
shank length).
3. Dub gray muskrat fur for body to behind the wings.
4. Select two hackle feathers (1 & 1/2 times hook gap) and
tie around the base of the calf hair parachute style. Wrap
each hackle feather 2-3 wraps.
5. Tie off and finish head.
The fly is a variation of the fly originated by Leonard Halladay. Cast it upstream and let it drift back. The parachute style makes the fly more visible.
