Notes on tying:
1. Buck tail is wrapped around hook shank and cross-hatched in
"X" tie.
2. Body is extended (3 times hook shank).
3. Cut off end of tail.
4. Antron wing is tied in 1/3 hook shank behind eye and 2/3 length
of body.
5. Add light dun hackle an eye length from eye.
6. Finish the head.
The original fly was invented by Dick Pobst and was pitctured on the cover of an Orvis Catalog . It floats well and makes a wonderful imitation although it does tend to create leader spin. Fish it dead drift as a dry fly.
