Notes on tying:
1. Tie in gold tinsel above hook barb for tag.
2. Tie in brown hackle fibers for tail.
3. Tie in generous ball of peacock herl fibers on rear 1/3 of
hook.
4. Add brown hackle fibers for the middle 1/3 of hook (fiber length
of hook gap).
5. Add cream hackle fibers for the front 1/3 of hook (fiber length
twice the hook gap).
6. Tie off.
This is a pattern listed in American Angler and Fly Tier Spring 1989. For best results, fish this fly dead drift.
