Notes on tying:

1. Cut 3/16" orange poly rope about 2 " long and thread the hook shank through the rope leaving extended body 1/3 hook shank length past the end of the hook.
2. Singe the ends of the rope to keep from unraveling.
3. Tie in red squirrel tail for wings.
4. Wrap front with brown Hackle that is very thick and stiff.
5. Whip finish head.

 This is used to imatate a salmon fly and also works as a hopper pattern.  Apply floatant liberally and slam it on the water so it makes a lot of noise.  Then grab the rod tightly and set the hook-get your net ready.
