Notes on tying:

1. Weight the body with 6 to 8 wraps of 0.015 lead.
2. Tie in tuft of squirrel guard hair for tail.
3. Cut off squirrel body hair and blend it with your fingers and pinch dub it to build the spike-like body.
4. Tie off.

 This is a pattern from a book that works well for trout.  You can fish it dead drift or with short twitchs.
