SERENDIPITY

 Hook:  (T)2487
 Size:  16
 Thread:  Tan 6/0 Flymaster
 Body:  Tan Antron
 Thorax:  Fine Deer Hair

Notes on tying:

1. Twist the antron into a fine cord and wrap up the shank of the hook for a segmented effect to about 4/5 length of hook.
2. Add deer hair (tips in front and let flare).
3. Stand up the deer hair and trim it short.
4. Finish off the head.

This fly acts as an emerger.  It is pattern demonstrated by Craig Mathews at the 1992 HFFA meeting and listed in Fly Patterns of Yellowstone.  Cast it up stream and let it drift back in the surface film.
