Notes on tying:
1. Bend the upper 1/3 of the hook up to about 45 degrees.
2. Wrap hook shank with lead wire and coat with flexament.
3. Secure feathers by tips at rear of hook shank and wrap to front
and secure. Clip off excess feather.
4. Trim body to shape.
5. Dub fur head.
6. Secure grouse fibers for legs. These should reach past
the hook point.
7. Whip finish.
This is a variation of a patten that imitates a saddle case maker that is in Caddisflies by Gary LaFontaine. Try fishing it deep and with a dead drift.
