Notes on tying:
1. Dub body with hare's mask (include the guard hairs).
2. Wrap about 1/4 of hook length with chartreuse dubbing for the
peeking portion of the fly.
3. Tie in partridge hackle for the legs.
4. Build head with black dubbing.
5. Whip finish.
This pattern is listed in Fly Patterns of Yellowstone by Craig Mathews. It is a good caddis larva pattern for trout in the Midwest. The fly is best fished dead drift.
