| Tail: | Red Goose Shoulder | |
| Body: | Fine Yellow & Black Chenille | |
| Wing: | White Z-lon | |
| Hackle: | Quail Soft Hackle |
Notes on tying:
1. Tie in goose feathers for tail.
2. Wrap body with yellow and black chenille.
3. Tie in wing and hackle.
4. When finishing the head wind it back against the hackle.
This pattern was developed by Mike Hogue which substitutes z-lon for the wings which makes it easier to tie than traditional quill feathers. With a light yellow and brown marker you can make a shiny looking wood duck colored wing. Cast it out and twitch it back for bluegills.
