This pattern came to Gary McCaughey one night in a dream. It was a revelation sent down from above saying "If you could only use one fly, this is the one" This fly works well on bass, crappie, and bluegill. Throw the Pus Bug in the water and watch the fish hit it as it slowly sinks. If you don't get a hit on this, try using a short stripping action. During "those days of the month" when the fish are not biting, try using the same pattern tied in black.
