Notes on tying:

1. Tie in and wrap tag with gold tinsel (4 wraps).
2. Tie in 4 peacock sword fibers.
3. Tie in blue floss and fine gold tinsel.
4. Wrap blue floss on lower 1/2 body.
5. Wrap 4 strands of peacock herl on upper 1/2 body.
6. Wrap fine gold tinsel 5 times for a rib up to the eye.
7. Tie in long guard hairs from the back of a gray fox for the wing.
8. Wrap collar of a soft grizzly hen feather and sweep it back.
9. Finish head and tie off.

 This is a classic hairwing salmon fly.  Fish this fly down and across near the bottom.
