Notes on tying:
1. Tie in black calf tail for the tail and attach tinsel and mohlon.
2. Wrap body with mohlon.
3. Wrap tinsel forward 4 0r 5 wraps.
4. Tie orange saddle hackle so the fibers are swept back to form
a collar.
5. Tie on Silver bead chain with figure 8 for the eyes.
6. Finish head.
This is a classic steelhead fly with roots in Oregon and Washington. This is one of a zillion variations of color combination. Good primary colors are orange, lime, chartreuse, bright blue, yellow. Fish it down and across near or on the bottom.
