Notes on tying:
1. Tie silver mylar over hook.
2. Tie in a small amount of yellow bucktail.
3. Tie in a small amount of black bucktail over the yellow bucktail.
4. Tie in red hackle for throat.
5. Finish head and tie off.
This is an old English fly that works well for trout and smallmouth bass. This is very effective in the fall for trout. They seem to be attracted to the yellow and black combination.
