|Hook:||(M)9671 + Weight|
|Thread:||Black 6/0 Flymaster|
|Tail:||Black Or Brown Marabou|
|Wing:||Black or Brown Marabou|
Notes on tying:
1. Add 8 to 10 wraps of lead wire.
2. Tie in small amount of Marabou for tail (1/2 to 2/3 length of hook shank).
3. Tie in 3 strands of peacock herl by the tips. To add durability to the peacock herl, a dark thread may be wraped with the peacock herl. This is wraped to the front of the hook to form taper (1 to 2 eye length behind hook eye).
4. Add 2 or 3 bunches of marabou (A little longer than length of hook shank).
5. Tie off head.
This is a pattern Mike Jacobs demonstrated in his fly tying class. It is also listed in The Versatile Fly Tier by Dick Talleur. Cast it up stream and let it drift back for trout.
