Notes on tying:
1. Tie 6 to 8 wraps of 0.02 lead around hook (1/3 back).
2. Tie in tail.
3. Wrap chenille around body.
4. Palmer body with hackle feather.
5. Tie off.
The woolly worm was created by Don Martinez in the 1930's. It was described by Dave Whitlock in the Summer 1983, TROUT pg. 44. It is a very good pattern for trout. Cast it down and across the steam.
