Notes on tying:
1. Wrap thread to back of hook shank.
2. Add gray fur dubbing to make cigar shape body (To one eye length behind eye).
3. Add sections of side feathers from mallard duck (Feathers should be about 1/4 inch past hook bend).
4. Tie off head.
This pattern is from "The Versatile Fly Tier" by Dick Talleur. It was originated by Gardner Grant, past president of Federation of Fly Fishers It is a very good fly for trout and panfish.
